BCARC, founded, July 1st, 2019, is composed of over 50 members: both liscenced and non-liscenced, local, and out-of-county.

Testing

We strive to promote the use of Ham Radio in Bledsoe County; we currently have 12 accredited VE’s and we offer exams for all 3 license classes by request and during events.

Emergency Communications

BCARC supports the Emergency Services by providing Emergency Communications (EmComm) for Bledsoe County as well as providing Ham Operators to operate the Emergency Ham Radio Station at Erlanger Bledsoe. BCARC also actively participates in the Local Skywarn Spotter Group operations as being the primary source of communications.

Weekly Net

We have a weekly Net (radio meeting) every Tuesday on the “285” Repeater. During the Spring/Summer months, during daylight savings time, it starts at 8pm CDT, during the Fall/Winter months, during standard time, it starts at 7pm CST. Whether you’re a Ham or a scanner listener, anyone is welcome to check or tune in.

Monthly Meetings

Our monthly business meetings are the second Saturday of each month, at 10am CT, held at the Mt Crest Fire Dept, at 14 TN-101, Pikeville, TN.

Membership Information

We invite anyone that is interested in Ham Radio to attend our meetings, join the Club whether you’re licensed or not, and get involved in promoting Ham Radio in your community. To be a member, simply attend one meeting, fill out an application, and fulfill the small dues amount for the year, which is $15 for Hams/ $5 for unlicensed members.
